圆盘飞剪是由成对的圆盘刀片组成,这种飞剪一般用在小型车间,将它安装在冷床前对长轧件进行粗剪,使进入冷床的轧件不致太长。或者将它安装在精轧机组前对轧件进行切头,以保证精轧机组的轧制过程顺利进行。
圆盘式飞剪所以能横向剪切运动着的轧件,主要是由于刀盘轴线与轧件运动方向倾斜一定角度,并且使圆盘刀片圆周速度在轧件运动方向上的分速度与轧件运动速度相等。轧件进入和离开圆盘刀片是通过诱导板实现的。圆盘式飞剪的缺点是剪切断面是倾斜的,但对于切头或在冷床前粗剪轧件影响不大。由于这种飞剪工作可靠,结构简单,并可应于轧制速度达10米/秒以上的场合,因而在小型车间得到了较广泛的应用。这种飞剪除了采用连续工作制外,也可采用启动工作制。
